The BD Emerald™ PRO syringe was designed to be flexible in use, with a robust locking mechanism.The resulting design is similar to a conventional syringe, yet features a strong lock that meets the international standard and automatically renders the syringe unusable after an injection has been completed.

Other features are:

• Green stopper and bold scale markings to aid in setting an accurate dose
• Visual indicator to identify it as a reuse prevention syringe
• Passive reuse prevention feature to automatically lock after procedure is completed
• Breakable plunger rod to deter reuse after syringe is locked for added security
• Robust retaining ring to help prevent accidental plunger rod pullout
• Contains up to 30 percent less material than other syringes*
• Reduces environmental impact through reduction of material use
• Sterilization method is Ethylene Oxide
• Single, sterile use
• Does not contain natural rubber latex
